Hi Jagan,

Am bit late to put forward my inputs, but would like to jot down my views.

Well, i feel MBA is important for HR Professional, but its not mandatory. I appreciate Sanjay's answer and example.

MBA gives us base to grow in our career, and provides a theoretical knowledge. See its true that, we can work out in life without having theoretical knowledge, because at times practical knowledge matters a lot. But what i feel is if we are good at Theoretical things, we can go long run in practical things.

We would commit less mistakes, and the quality of work will definitely be good, and it may take less time to finish the work. Because if you are new on a subject it takes hell lot of time to understand the pro and con on that.

Take a small example, we studied so 15+ years and after that we reached here today and now we can show our efficiency, but directly coming o a job without having subject knowledge, we would have ended up doing many mistakes.

Of course from our mistakes we can learn, but again, we cant frame a sentence if we are not good at words :).

So i do feel its important to hold a MBA degree for HR Professionals, but not mandatory, because after a certain period of time what matters is Experience in the relevant field, but of course a MBA degree gives a value addition what you carry.

You see all named and famed personality are not holding any degrees, yes their zeal to do something made them to reach the goal. Try exploring things, that's the best way.

Regards
Sashmita
