The response to this question should be as per the situation and the condition at that point of time.

most of the times it is dangerous to give diplomatic answer. certainly any time it is not suggested to talk bad about the current employer.

in my personal opinion the answer should be very open and should be appropriate to the new role you are going to take and the same time it should provide positive hope.
