hi sowmya,
I guess you have to use approriate words to express yourself.
Pradeep, i guess sowmya is abt to tell tht she didnt hav exp in other verticals. It doesnt mean tht she doesnt know the roles of Payroll / comp & ben / emp rel..

Its a nice tip to everyone to mould themselves.
But make sure that your answer is clear without giving an option for the interviewer to raise another question based on ur answer.

i came to know tht u r wrkng as team lead.... and i am just thinking how u r continuing with ur present job without salary for 2mnths. i gues ur overall exp must be around 3yrs and its not too late to come back to generalist role.
might be u may have to compromise on salary aspect to get better opening in an reputed organisation. as of now u must be having exp in recruitments, performance appraisal, employee relations.. which is a part of HR generalist and u have an additional of recruitment. This is the right time to switch on to corporate... have a positive attitude.. Wishing you all success in ur future endeavours
