Basically for payroll u need to know the attendence inputs i.e based on your company policy consider for sick leaves ,casual leaves etc.

Basic , LTA,AllowancePF, ESI , Professional tax, etc based on that salary is calculated for the month.

If u want any thing in particaular u ask becaus e the question itself is very vast.
